If you're a family member seeking access to a primary account, you can be added as a parent, family member, or caregiver, granting you specific permissions. This is particularly helpful if you need to receive notifications for upcoming sessions, handle invoice payments, or manage other administrative tasks on behalf of a loved one.

To be added as a family member, the primary client should contact their therapist. The therapist can then add you to the client's account using your email address, assigning you roles such as parent, guardian, and/or caregiver. Permissions can be tailored by the therapist based on your needs and responsibilities.

Family Member Permissions and Exclusions

As a designated family member within the platform, you'll have certain permissions and limitations:

Permissions:

  • Pay an invoice

  • Receive notifications, such as email confirmations and reminders for upcoming appointments

Exclusions:

However, there are restrictions to what you can access as a family member to uphold client privacy:

  • You cannot view chat messages (unless explicitly added by the client's therapist)

  • You cannot view goal journals

  • You cannot join sessions (unless explicitly added by the client's therapist)
