We understand that financial considerations are a significant aspect when beginning therapy. At Ruh, we are working hard to ensure our community can access therapy, regardless of financial status.
Healing Hearts Financial Assistance Program
Our Healing Hearts Financial Assistance program, sponsored by Penny Appeal Canada, operates on a "pay what you can" model, which means that the cost of therapy is based on your income and ability to pay. This ensures that therapy remains affordable, even if you are facing financial difficulties. We understand that everyone's financial circumstances are different, and our financial assistance program is designed to accommodate a wide range of situations.
How it works
The client will co-pay a portion of the fee based on what they can genuinely afford, ensuring they are committed to therapy as well. The Penny Appeal Canada grant will cover the remaining cost.
This approach allows the grant to bridge financial gaps, ensuring equitable access to therapy for those facing financial barriers. We do offer free therapy sessions for rare exceptions, Palestinian evacuees relocating now, and clients receiving Zakat funds as we don't want them choosing between food and care as both are important for their wellbeing.
By default, we approve up to 10 therapy sessions valid through April 30, 2025. You can apply to extend your financial assistance after this date or once you have completed the 10 therapy sessions.
To make use of your financial assistance, please begin your therapy sessions within the next 30 days. The discounted rate will be automatically applied to your payment method when it is charged after a therapy session.
How to Apply
To apply, you can visit our website and fill out the application form at ruhcare.com/financial-assistance. We process applications and get back to the client with a decision within 5 business days. The client can then get matched with a Ruh Care therapist by visiting ruhcare.com/match.
